about

after "Music for the Drunk", with its many long tracks, i decided to make an album with shorter, more accessible songs. it was entirely improvised, so i wasn't following a lyric or anything, but always had something in mind while singing. at the end, i noticed that almost all songs deal with death, or the idea of dying. the punks of yesterday all sang about being alive, about living and fighting for what they believe. so what happens to today's punk? it's old, and it's now talking about its own mortality. in short, simple songs. that's why i called it "Today's Punk Record"
